about dina zamfotis
Dina Zamfotis is a registered dietitian and nutritionist focused on helping people build healthy lifestyles. She emphasizes “simple changes for a healthier you” and instructs clients on simple tweaks and food swaps that result in better nutrition.
Dina’s passion for food started at a very young age. Growing up with an Italian mother and a Greek father, food was always intertwined with family, friends, love, and health. This passion led her to pursue a career in nutrition, where she would have the opportunity to share her love for food and empower others by promoting healthy eating and active living.
Dina graduated from New York University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health. She completed a dietetic internship at the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers. At the French Culinary Institute, Culinary Techniques division, Dina accomplished 110 hours of intensive training.
With an impressive background in individual and group counseling, Dina specializes in weight loss, weight gain, sports nutrition, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes and digestive wellness including heart burn, celiac disease, gluten intolerance, IBS, crohn’s disease and food allergies.
Dina spends a lot of time in the kitchen! She enjoys finding new ways to cook healthy foods without compromising taste or flavor. Her favorite dish — anything Greek!
In her leisure time, Dina loves a good run. She has completed several marathons and one ultra-marathon, and continues to challenge herself with new races.
